Defects and quirks found in the source documents during verification. Printed totals are used as-is throughout this page; nothing has been silently corrected.
The FY2026 budget book's combined statement contains three one-dollar inconsistencies: (1) the 2025 fund-type components sum to $136,281,893 against a printed total of $136,281,892; (2) the 2026 proprietary capital components sum to $32,612,331 against a printed $32,612,330; (3) the 2026 net-income chain computes to $9,000,312 against a printed $9,000,313. This page uses the printed totals as-is. The FY2025 ACFR, by contrast, foots cleanly throughout.
The ACFR note describes the $2,222,000 Certificates of Participation as a lump sum due June 1, 2028, while the note's own debt-service table places the principal in fiscal 2027. Both statements come from the same audited document; the discrepancy is disclosed here rather than resolved.
The ACFR also reports discretely presented component units with a combined net position of $10,863,406. Those are separate entities — that figure is not a City of Thomasville total and is not included in any total on this page.
FY2025 figures on this page are audited actuals; FY2026 figures are the adopted budget (a plan). They are presented in separate sections and are never combined. Population (18,881) comes from the ACFR's statistical table and is labeled unaudited, as in the source.
Verification: every breakdown on this page was sum-checked against its printed total — 71 checks in total; the only failures are the three $1 budget-book defects disclosed above.
